We like to think we are very fair at RC Model Shop Direct Ltd after all we are human too.  If you have an incorrect item delivered, a faulty part or you have just ordered the incorrect part or even changed your mind about the item you have purchased, please don’t worry. Simply follow the instructions below that relate to your problem and we will do our upmost to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.  Our returns policy conforms to the government standard “Online & Distance Selling” which is design to protect you when buying items by Mail Order or Online.


Returns Policy – New Items – Exchange or Refund

If you have purchased and received an item from RC Model Shop Direct Ltd and realised you have ordered the incorrect item/s or no longer require it please follow these steps:

  • Item/s must be returned within 14 days of receipt.
  • Item/s must have not be used in any way or sampled.
  • Item/s must be in the original packaging.
  • Please do not apply tape or packaging labels to the retail packaging. Please return it in a condition that you would expect to receive it when purchased new.
  • Please wrap the retail packaging before applying tape or labels to the return.
  • Please make sure your returned item/s is accompanied with a copy of your receipt and a note explaining the reason for return.
  • Please note this type of return will not have the shipping charges refunded.
  • We reserve the right to deduct a handling fee if any item/s is returned in an unsatisfactory condition.  Hopefully this will not be the case but if it is we will notify you first so please adhere to the above points.
  • Any item returned after 14 days without prior notice will be subject to a re-stocking fee.

Exceptions

  • Unfortunately we cannot offer refunds on any Special Order or Custom Built item/s.
  • No refunds will be given on Pre-Owned, Ex-Display or Ex-Demo items and some sale items.
  • Software which has been unsealed.
  • Gift Vouchers are non-returnable and non-refundable.

There is no need to contact us to make your return unless you have ordered the incorrect item/s and need our assistance in selecting the correct item/s.

Returns Policy – New Items – We got it Wrong!

If in the unlikely event you have received your item/s incorrectly first of all we apologise for this inconvenience.  Please first check your item/s off from your receipt to confirm if we have picked it incorrectly or advised and sent the incorrect item/s.  In either instance we will be more than happy to exchange the item at our cost.

Please contact us within 7 days of receipt to inform us of our error.

Please have your receipt number to hand and what the problem is.  If sending it by email please also include your phone number so we can call you to arrange the collection of the item/s.


Returns Policy – Item/s Damaged in Transit

If your item/s is received damaged in Transit then please follow these steps:

  • Item/s must be returned within 7 days of receipt.
  • Item/s must have not be used in any way or sampled.
  • Item/s must be in the originally packaging.
  • Please do not apply tape or packaging labels to the retail packaging.
  • Please wrap the retail packaging before applying tape or labels.
  • Please make sure your returned item/s is accompanied with a copy of your receipt and a note explaining the reason for return.

Returns Policy – Faults

All items sold by RC Model Shop Direct Ltd are covered with a manufactures warranty.  The warranty period differs from product to product and will generally cover any manufacture defect that are deemed not to be caused by general wear & tear, water ingress, crashing or abuse to the product and built or installed incorrectly etc.

If you feel your item has developed a manufactures fault then please contact us so we can discuss the fault and get you sorted as soon as possible.

In the event that your item needs to be returned can you:

  • Please make sure your item is clean and in a dirt free condition.
  • Please make sure your returned item/s is accompanied with a copy of your receipt and a note explaining the reason for return.
  • Items supplied with a manufactures warranty card must be completed and returned with the item.
  • Any item returned as “Fault Found” and no faults are found will incur a £20.00 inspection fee.
